The School Library Media Specialists of Southeastern New York invite you to exhibit at the SSL/NYLA

Annual Spring Conference. SSL is the school library section of the New York Library Association.

Membership includes school library media specialists serving at the elementary, middle and high school

levels, school library system directors, supervisors of librarians, and other interested school employees.

The theme for the conference is “Strengthening Our IMPACT.” SSL has planned some very special

attractions to bring you and your customers together. Scheduled breaks and exclusive vendor time will

provide numerous opportunities for attendees to browse through the vendor area.

Through exhibiting at our conference you will receive a directory listing in the official conference book; a

listing in the SissLer, SSL official quarterly newsletter; an opportunity to advertise in the conference

program and an opportunity to sponsor a special activity or event.

SPONSORSHIP:

Please take the time to consider underwriting a special activity or event for SSL conference attendees,

such as the exhibit grand opening reception on Thursday April 30, 2015 at 5:30 pm, breakfast with the

vendors at 7:30 am on Friday, May 1, 2015 or coffee breaks during exclusive vendor time throughout the

conference. A sponsorship affords an excellent opportunity for a business to place its name in full view of

all those attending the conference. Remember that the SSL membership is very grateful to supporting

vendors.

ASSIGNMENT OF SPACE:

Applications for exhibit space will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. You may request a specific

location, but we will make the final decision on placement.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Cancellations will be subject to a $50.00 processing fee. No refunds will be made after April 1, 2015.

DRYAGE AND SHIPPING:

The conference tradeshow company, Great Lakes Events LLC, will send you an exhibitor’s packet after

we receive your signed contract.

INSURANCE, LIABILITY and SECURITY:

Exhibitor property at the show is at the risk and hazard of the exhibitor. The exhibitor shall assume any

responsibility for any losses incurred due to accident, fire, theft, flood, lightning, or any other act of God

beyond the control of the Doubletree Hotel Tarrytown and the SSL organization. SSL will provide

security services to protect your property.

LODGING INFORMATION:

The Doubletree Hotel Tarrytown will house conference attendees as well as the conference itself. All

requests for accommodations should be made directly with the hotel. A special conference rate of $159

has been secured (the rate applies for single, double, triple or quad occupancy). Please call 914-631-5700

to reserve your room and use code “NLA” by Wednesday, April 1, 2015.

Please note that we have been notified that the block is currently sold out. We are expecting more rooms to be added to the block shortly. Please check back for updates. In the meantime, there are numerous hotels within minutes of the DoubleTree.

A listing in the official conference program is included with each space. Booth size will be 10’ X 8’ and includes 8’ back drape; 3’ side drapes; 6’ draped table; (2) folding chairs; 7” x 44” ID sign indicating company name and booth number.
