NYLS-SSL Scholarship

Application deadline is December 31



1. Applicant must have been a SLMSSENY member for 2 years, and in current standing.

2. Applicant must be a current member of NYLA SSL. 

3. Applicant must be currently working in a School Library, either full-time or part-time. 

4. Applicant must have approval from their administration prior to application.

5. Priority will be given to applicants who have never attended a NYLA SSL conference. 

6. Active Executive Board Members, County Representatives, Committee Chair Liaisons, and previous winners are not eligible.

Review and Selection Process

Each application will be evaluated by a blind selection process done through a set committee of Executive Board Members.

Terms of Acceptance

Scholarship Award Approximately $275 (Cost of Early Bird NYLA SSL Registration)

*This is a reimbursement scholarship - please send your receipt to AS SOON AS YOU REGISTER for the conference

Winner provides own transportation and accommodations, and must be able to attend the conference in its entirety 

Award Winner Announced February 15, 2020

Winner must share his/her conference experience. This should be in the format of a document, slideshow, video or images that will be posted on the SLMSSENY website.

Winner must provide an image of themselves for promotional purposes that may include postings on website, social media, videos, etc.

Recognition of Recipient

The recipient will be contacted by the awards chair in February and recognized at our annual Spring Symposium and on our website. Additional recognition may occur at the NYLA SSL conference.
